OUR VISION IS "TO BE THE LEADING ADULT SWIM CLUB IN CANADA WHERE THE 'SWIMMER EXPERIENCE' IS PARAMOUNT"

HISTORY OF THE SQUALL

The Georgian Bay Squall Masters Swim Team  - The Squall - was originally founded as Collingwood Masters Swimming by local entrepreneurial adventurer Mark Beaton and accomplished swim coach Nancy Black.  When Mark set out to sail around the world, Nancy was joined by fitness expert Janice Macdonald and aerospace engineer John Waring to focus on the next phase of the club. Together, they poured a lot of ‘sweat equity’ into The Squall after which, John left the reins to Janice and Nancy and resumed his initial role of swimmer.

Nancy and Janice bring decades of sports administration, competitive swimming and triathlon experience to this new and growing swim team.  The Squall aims to be a local fixture serving the region’s famously active adult community.
